ONE OF THE BEST WAYS OF FINDING WORK IS THROUGH NETWORKING

Networking is all about meeting new people who can either give you work directly or who might know other people who can give you work.

Many freelance jobs require you to build up a network of contacts who can recommend you and give you information on new job opportunities which are available.

This is where our network club will help.

We have joined a site where you can advertise or offer other people a “taster” or “sample” of a product or service which you are able to give people free of charge.

THE SECOND  main category we have set up is for businesses who would like to offer other people the opportunity to experience a “Boys” or “Girls” Night out. This might be of interest for special occasion event organizers who organize special nights out so that people can experience new things.

In this category you can offer people three different experiences:

  1. “BOYS” NIGHT OUT
  2. “GIRLS” NIGHT OUT
  3. “FITNESS” NIGHT OUT

BOYS NIGHT OUT:

This is where you invite “BOYS” to experience things boys would like. This could be used as the free “taster” for a  more involved and exciting night out.

Once people have attended this free “taste” of what you do they may be happy to pay for something which involves them more or gives them another night out. If the offer is for adults only then this must be made clear when you make the offer.

“GIRLS” NIGHT OUT:

This is where you invite “GIRLS” to experience things girls would like.

” FITNESS” NIGHT OUT: This category might include pole dancing, aerobics, or body building classes.

By making the day out a special occasion you can add value by offering signed photos of the occasion or event. People love to buy souvenirs to remind them of the special day especially if you can personalize the gift for them.

HOME VISIT OFFERS: 

Another main category is for home visits. This will include jobs which are done at a persons home. For example, any house opr garden related work, jobs for the elderly or house bound, and health and beauty related jobs where it is more convenient to visit the person at their home.

In this category you can register your offer under any of the headings below:

  3. PERSONAL CARE SERVICES 

At http://www.swaptreasures.com you can start your own store where you can offer people any items that you do not need anymore. When people make a successful bid for these, you receive points which can then be used to bid for other products or services you are interested in. please remember that this site is based in U.S.A. and therefore many electrical products will not be compatible with British made products. Also you will find postage costs too high for larger, heavier items. Because of this we will be looking for a British based swap site. More details next month.

If you would like to place your products or services in our store then we need a digital photo of the product or service or a photo of yourself, and a description of the product or service including any requirements needed by people who may be interested.

For example, if you were giving someone the opportunity to appear in a live catwalk fashion show then they would be required to have the physical appearance of a catwalk model.

Fashion Event Training – Networking Club

Following on from our first introduction we are now going to give details of our FREE “THANK YOU” GIFTS which will be available through the http://www.swaptreasures.com site.

Fashion event training will be using this site to give our active members a Thank you gift in return for their support and help in promoting and finding new members for our home business opportunity and our event groups.

All you have to do is share details of this site with your friends or social media contacts.

Our first gift is a fun theme printed envelope. At present these are printed on a high quality colored DL sized envelope using a high quality laser printer. Each envelope contains an insert card to help maintain its shape and prevent creasing. If these prove popular we will consider investing in commercial quality printing equipment to give them more commercial value.

We have a wide range of different themes available including the following:

This contains a lot of the basic information on how to organize a fashion show. To receive this gift you will need to be interested in starting your own local group of event organizers so you can organize your own events and to register as a new event group.

You may choose to receive our glamour photo shoot training cd instead of the fashion show training cd if you are more interested in organizing photo shoots rather than fashion shows or fashion related events.

NEW FASHION SHOW COMMUNITY SITE

We  have now set up our fashion show community site. This is where you can communicate with other members of our event groups. You can leave messages for other members, write blog posts, participate in group forums, and hold live  chat conversations.

You can also create your own photo album to show other people the members in your event group or to show photos from an event you have organised.

You will also find links to all our other sites, including a link to back up sites such as finding a fashion show venue or photo studio for your event.

Basically you will find forum groups for all the event groups which are available to join.

You will also find a group here for photo shoot location researchers, people who work from home, hobby groups, and people who are engaged in digital art.

NEW EVENT PLANNING SITE:

A  new site just added which allows you to record details of your event during the planning stage. This will greatly assist you in putting together a schedule of things to do, and help to make sure everything gets done at the right time, and on budget.

This site helps you communicate with other members of your event team, so you know what updates or changes have been made, and when meetings have been scheduled. You can assign tasks to people and monitor your progress making sure your event is on track and prioritise tasks for more immediate action. You can produce reports and keep in touch with your suppliers, and issue invoices.

You can store all project related files and access these from any location at any time. All you need to log on to this site is a browser and an internet connection.

NEW Web Collect site – where you can join our event groups

Welcome to our new site where you can join the various event groups which we have now set up.

There are basically two sets of groups, one for event organisers or people who would like to become involved in helping organise events, and one for people who would like to attend the events organised by our members.

If you wish you can start your own local group and we will put you in touch with other people in your local area who wish to join your group.

There is also a group for people who would like to find work at these events.

Click the text category name to see what events are being organised by our members. (at present you will not see any events here because this is a new site for us) The categories for listing your events are as follows:

We will be updating this from month to month.

Below these images you will see two buttons, one for existing members (access to your account) and one for new members – “Browse Subscriptions” – It is the “Browse Subscriptions” button that you need to click to go to the list of groups that you can join.

To subscribe to a group click “Add to basket” and then when you are finished adding, click the “My Basket” link at the top of the page. On the “My Basket” page you can click the subscriptions you have joined to go back to the subscription page.

Clicking the “Checkout” link will take you to the page where you can:

a) Sign In – if you have not already done this when you entered the site

b) “Sign Up” – this is not necessary to complete as this is for organisations who would like to use the services of web collect.

We are in the process of setting up a Fashion Show community site. Here you will be able to upload photos and chat with other people who are interested in fashion and it’s related topics. You can tell people about your interests, and hobbies.

You will be able to post articles and blogs. We can set up specific groups for you for specific topics so you can talk to people with similar interests as yourself.

You will be able to upload attachments to your blog such as music sound files, and

video clips. This will allow you to show clips from fashion shows you have been involved in, or photo shoots, or just show a clip to promote yourself as a model or other career.

Chat events are where members can chat to other members in real time. We can set up a chat event for you where you can have a special guest answering questions from other members of the community.

We will be featuring dance and fashion show music each month, particularly trance dance music from some of the best artists we have found.

One of the main aims of the community will be to put people in touch with other people in your local area who are also interested in organising fashion shows or appearing in them.

We will also be organising competitions for groups of people to put together an online fashion show.

Events can be advertised via our event calendar.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, as there is more exciting things on the way including a model management service for models looking for work.
