1. Never give your address out to someone you don’t know 
2. Always arrange to meet new contacts in a public place
3. Get proof of their identification and take a photo of them. Send the photo to a friend.
4. Don’t be too trusting of people even people you know & don’t allow yourself to be pressured or intimidated into doing something you do not feel comfortable doing.
5. Don’t make it easy for someone to follow you home after a meeting. Always let someone know where you are going and what time you expect to be back. Always phone them to let them know of any changes in your plans.
6. Don’t get drunk when you go out on the town unless you are with a responsible adult who is not drinking
7. Don’t walk home late at night and don’t accept lifts from a stranger
8. Always make sure you have your mobile phone with you and that you have enough money to get a taxi home if you are not driving
9. Before you leave a club or bar make sure you have all your belongings with you. Never leave your handbag unattended
10. Never leave your drink or food unattended so that they can be drugged.

MODEL CAREER ADVICE

There are many different categories of models. For example, “petite” and “outsize” These models are either smaller or larger than the standard size for models.

Male models generally need to be about 1m 78 tall with a chest size of 100 cm.

Glamour photographic models tend to be a lot smaller as their work often doesn’t show their entire body. For example, beauty work often only shows their face and the make up they are wearing.

The first thing you need to be aware of is that there is no shortage of potential models therefore you will find a lot of competition for jobs. Getting started isn’t easy and keeping going is even harder. In fact it is common to earn very little in your first year as a model. With this in mind you should not be relying of earning any amount of money initially, just look at it as a bonus if you are lucky enough to find regular work.
